Video – James H. Kunstler dissects suburbia
This is a powerful video session from TED. Chronologically it is few years old. But the ideas are so relevant. The clip is interestingly related (kind of) to some of my early posts describing the ugliness of modern days architecture. It is just that Mr. Kunstler is wa-a-ay more detailed and convincing in his brilliant speech. Hats off. And it’s tremendously humorous too…

“The public realm needs to inform us … where we are culturally”. Exactly. Just because North America has young culture, doesn’t mean it needs to be dismissed or completely ignored in favor of meaningless, unfocused city planning.
